Many venue of the hotel is suitable to held events and conferences, choose the most convenient for You, according to Your need of furniture and capacity or ask our colleagues help who are responsible for the events. La Contessa Castle Hotel offers wide range of conference services in an unique environment, in the heart of Bükk, in Szilvásvárad. Whether it’s about small or large conference, corporate event, reception or team building training, our hotel is a perfect location due to its Event Center, handed over in the beginning of 2011. After several high-standard events behind our back we feel free to say, that representatives of companies who had choosed us went home with maximum satisfaction and unique experiences. Our colleagues do everything to provide smooth environment and unexpectional service, which meets everyone’s need to our guests, to help our partners to gain further success.

Accommodation

Authentic castle experience in the rooms, guaranteed by Italian furnitures and gentle made curtains, which were developed according to the expectations of modern ages. Each room is equipped with LCD TV, with nearly 50 channels, laptop sized safe, telephone, internet connection and individually controlled wall heater-cooler system. There is a dressing table and mirror, leather sofa bed and coffee table in bigger sized rooms. There is shower, hair-dryer, mirror, bathrobe and Yves Rocher cosmetics in the bathroom for the comfort of our guests. Speciality of the hotel are the 24 double rooms which has their own sauna. Rooms and serving area of the hotel are non-smoking, guests can have a cigarette on the terrace, at certain places. Both buildings have elevators, providing easy access to each levels. Reception desk takes place in the Castle building. We are sorry to inform you that pets are not allowed in the Castle however there are pet-friendly rooms in our Manor-house. / Rooms in the Castle. (45 rooms on 3 levels): 8 of the rooms are located on ground floor, 21 on the floor and 16 in the attic of the Castle, each equipped with minibar. / Rooms in the Manor-house (35 rooms on 4 levels): 4 of the rooms are located at basement level, 8 on ground floor, 13 on mezzanine-floor, and 10 on the floor.

Services, opportunities

La Contessa, the Event Hotel. Szalajka Event Center takes place in the area of the park, 150m away from the Castle building, equipped with the most modern technical equippments, ideal location for business meetings, meetings, conferences, team building trainings as well as for gala dinners. Pallavicini room of the establishment of maximum 180 people – sound-proof, with mobile walls – can be divided into 3 smaller sections. Exclusively designed VIP room takes place next to the conference room. Winter garden and terraces (latter due good weather) can be used as well as locations of coffee breaks and receptions. There is bowling alley and squash court, biliard as well as coctail bar on the lower level of the building for Guests. • Szalajka Event Center: 200 sqm conference room of 180 people, surrounded with full glass walls from two sides, providing unique view of the surrounding park | event hall can be divided into 3 section rooms, each of them has got its own screen and projector as well as amplification | VIP meeting room ensures comfortable place for 20-25 people – with direct connection to the terrace and video conference option | own open terrace, which can be approached from the flying corridor, from the great hall. Covered winter garden, cloakroom option | 2-lane bowling alley, squash court, biliard and coctail bar on the ground floor of the building | parking lot | room rental includes the following equipments: Flipchart / Pinwand, screen, projector.

Extras

Due to facilities of the castle there are only two smaller parlors for conferences here. For Guests, who only visiting us for the atmosphere of the castle, Keglevich parlor can be ideal of its max 30 people capacity, opening from the Salon as well as Erdődy parlor of its max 35 people capacity, opening from the main stairway, among which thoroughfare is possible, they can be opened together. Gentle made curtains, Swarowski crystal chandeliers, the pictures of contemporary titled families and elegant furnitures create very exclusive atmosphere for partner meetings. Amplification is resolvable from built-in sound technical unit in our parlors, which are suitable to held smaller events, from the reception as well as we provide flipchart. We provide more equipment, furniture and technology if needed, as far as possible.        

Accessibility

Szilvásvárad can be easily approached by car, but there is direct bus line as well from Budapest, Miskolc and Szeged. It can be approached by train from Eger and Putnok the easiest. • From Budapest by car: On road nr 3 or M3 highway from Budapest, then drive on road nr 25 to Szarvaskő–Szilvásvárad–Kazincbarcika. Distance between Szilvásvárad and Budapest on M3 highway is 164km, on road nr 3 is 156km, and 30km from Eger. • From Tiszántúl by car: Usually you reach Szilvásvárad passing by Füzesabony–Eger. The easiest way to do it is on road nr 33  from Debrecen, on road nr 32 and 31 from Szolnok and Dél-Alföld. We need to follow the same direction when coming from Eger. Town can be approached through Kazincbarcika from North Hungary. • By train: Szilvásvárad has one train station and one stop, which lies on Füzesabony–Eger–Putnok train line. The easiest way to approach the town is by express trains, run between Budapest–Eger, with Eger transfer. Get off at Szilvásvárad-Szalajkavölgy stop in Szilvásvárad. • By bus: We can approach Szilvásvárad directly by buses leaving from Budapest Népstadion bus station, but with Eger transfer as well. Get off at the first stop when arriving in town.

The elegant a’la carte Erzsébet Restaurant opens directly from the lobby, which also preserves the memory of the Pallavicini family: it’s name was given after the daughter of Alfonz Károly Pallavicini. Gentle made curtains, snow-white, embroidered damask tablecloths and special shaped ivory-white Villeroy and Boch La Scala dinner set as well as the  Villeroy glasses are all to transmit the smooth elegance of  the restaurant. Restaurant of 52 people is a perfect location of intimate candlelit dinners, where meals are served by waiters wearing white gloves, and the light of candles reflect back from the shining Swarovski crystal chandeliers. We kept in mind this atmosphere and quality when our two parlors were designed, which also evokes the historical past, both with their names and furnishing. Keglevich room can host 25 people while Erdődy room can host 20 more, increasing the capacity of our restaurant with. Everyone will find a culinary masterpiece on the menu what meets their needs, for we thought of the fonds of both local and international cusine, vegetarians, guests with dietary needs and everyone who likes specialities as well. We provide lactose-free cheese, gluten-free cold cuts, gluten-free bread, lactose-free milk within half board, while gluten-free, lactose-free and vegetarian meals are available at dinner besides regular meals. Wellness department is right next to Cyrano Restaurant and Drinkbar, with cool box layout of English pubs and coctail bar, and it’s name was given after the Oscar winner movie Cyrano de Bergerac, starring Gerard Depardieu, some parts of which were recorded here, in our Castle. Guests can have refreshing drinks or they can order fresh salad during their wellness treatments, while wearing bathrobes, but it provides excellent location for drinking wine or enjoy coctails in the evenings. Our Cyrano Bar is a popular location for friend gatherings and team building trainings as well, please contact us for more information of rental fees, contact our event manager colleague or reception. You can get to our grill terrace from the Salon, which increases the mood with its beautiful, panoramic view. There is no pleasant thing than sit out to the lavander-scented terrace in a warmish summer night, drink wine or eat delicious barbecue dinner. Nearly 600 sqm terrace can accommodate 150 people, perfectly suitable to held barbecue parties, corporate events and wedding receptions. Besides the breathtaking view, the usual luxurious comfort is provided by parasols, garden furnitures and ususal high-standard accessories, rosaries and herbs give romantic atmosphere to the place. Our grill terrace is looking forward to its guests from Spring to Autumn, according to the weather. Smoking is not allowed in the buildings, but guests can smoke here instead.
