About us

The life and story of Echo Restaurant, that has a unique panoramic view of Lake Balaton, started as a water tower. In 2013 Spring the renewed Echo Restaurant with an unrivalled gastronomical experience and a compelling view, was born and managed by a family highly experienced in hospitality business.    •    Our purpose is to make our guests remember us as a stylish and friendly place where quality service is the standard and to spread our good reputation.    •    Our restaurant is a perfect venue for corporate dinners, family events, gatherings or romantic dinner. It is an ideal place to hold weddings and civil ceremonies. One of the most beautiful days of your life shall be held on the most fabulous terraces of the country. Should you have any requests or questions regarding the booking conditions and services, please contact us.    •    Tihanyi Apátság (Abbey) is only 200 meter from our restaurant and it can be reached through Piski Promenade that has a wonderful view. You can park in the nearby car park, 50 meter far from us on Visszhang Hill.    •    We are a dog friendly place and we welcome your four legged friends. We are your partners in making your dreams come true.

Services, opportunities

•   Visszhang Terrace & Cafe Bar – Perfect for groups. Wrought-iron chairs bring you comfort and the tables’s set-up can be changed as you wish. The terrace can be fully shaded and you can enjoy our delicous food and cakes while having a beautiful view of Lake Balaton. The restrooms are on the terrace and easily accessible by all the guests and disabled ones.    •    Panoráma Terrace – a fantastic, 240° view of Lake Balaton and Tihany Abbey. Echo Restaurant is a „must-visit” place during your visit to Lake Balaton. It received the „Observation point of the year” Award in 2013. There are vintage style furnishing (tables and chairs) on the open terrace that are partly mobile. It is possible to parasols at the tables in case of strong sunshine.    •     Királyi Kupola (Dome) – The name says it all. The room’s glass walls gives a wonderful panoramic view. The old bricks, wooden beams and vintage furnitures create an intimate atmosphere. The room temperature is adjustable therefore you can enjoy your meal even on a boiling hot day.

Echo Gastronomy – There are traditional Hungarian breakfasts, delicious coffees, home made squashes, lemonades, home made biscuits and cakes, ice cream and light meals available in the Cafe. Our menu has a focus on the quality of the ingredients and not on the quantity. We bring together the traditional Hungarian taste with unique recipies therefore our guests can have the specialities of the Modern Hungarian kithcen. Additionally there are seasonal, daily and weekly menus available. Our Chef’s principle is to have every meal freshly made at all times.
