About us

Mystery Hotel Budapest is a new, 82-room luxury hotel located in the 6th district, the city center of Budapest. Budapest’s main attractions, like the House of Parliament, Heroes’ Square and the Basilica are within walking distance of the hotel. This eclectic palace was built by the Hungarian Freemasons in 1896. As the life of the Freemasons was full of mystery and mystique, so is our hotel; shrouded with legends and secrets. By entering the hotel you can feel that we are going to a special world. 

Accommodation

Each of the guestrooms, studios and suites are designed in three different styles aligned with a Greek column style: Corinth, Ion and Dorian. The columns also can be seen in the rest of the hotel, in the lobby, in the restaurant, in the Day Spa and in the Sky Garden. Our Superior King rooms have a royal atmosphere and 2 people can be accommodated there. The Dorian-style Superior Double-Double room category features two double beds (140 x 200 cm), each with its own private balcony overlooking the Secret Garden. The extravagant French-style Duplex King is a special two-storey room category in Ion column order. The double Mystery King rooms feature Corinthian, Ionian styles with a few rooms in the Doric style. Mystery Double-Double corner rooms can be up on request, these rooms can be connected with a Mystery King room, providing a perfect solution for families. The Mystery King family rooms have a pull-out sofa bed. The Studio Suite features a standalone bathtub and a special glass roof with unparalleled views of the starry sky. The unique atmosphere of the Atelier Studio suite inspires a painter's rooftop studio. The Da Vinci Suite can be converted into a two-bedroom residence, providing even more comfort.

In our hotel you can organize various meetings and events, for which there are 5 meetings and conference rooms with a unique atmosphere, but with a subdued, classic elegance. In the Mystery Hotel each of our guests can enjoy the following services free of charge during their stay: the use of secret garden spa and fitness room, pre-prepared mineral water and Nespresso coffee machine in the rooms, for which the capsules are offered free of charge, and free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. Our hotel provides valet parking service for an additional fee. Guest cars taken by the hotel’s doorman to a secured parking. We will return your car at the agreed time upon your departure time. We are happy to provide you transfer from the airport, train station or even from the ship station on arrival and departure. We offer Mercedes, Tesla and Mercedes buses in a variety of categories in case of smaller groups.

Mystery Hotel Budapest is located in the centre of Budapest, in the 6th district. The Nyugati Railway Station and Teréz körút is 300 meters away. Budapest’s main attractions, such as Parliament, Heroes Square, Andrássy út and the Basilica are also within walking distance of the hotel. Mystery Hotel has a great location from which to discover Budapest. In our vicinity there are two different metro stations and other options for public transportation provide easy access for the guests. Westend City Center, which is one of the biggest shopping malls of Budapest is also within walking distance from the hotel. The distance from the hotel to the airport is 22 km.

Located on the fourth floor of the hotel, “The Great Hall” is not only a restaurant, but also the centre of the hotel’s life. This breath-taking room, once kept as a secret place by the Freemasonry will now become the centre of the hotel’s life; opening its doors to welcome guests where all our patrons can enjoy breakfast till 10:30 and return during the day for a drink or lunch till 15:00 in the afternoon. The Grand Hall serves dinner and drinks from 18:00 till 23:00 every day. This hall, built in Egyptian style, is characterized by its giant chandelier, its columns, heavy curtains and for the leadership of the two iron spiral staircases leading to the Loggia. “The Great Hall” seats up to 88 persons, of which 64 on the ground floor and an additional 24 persons in the Loggia. “The Great Hall” seats up to 88 persons, of which 64 on the ground floor and an additional 24 persons in the Loggia.The Great Hall Restaurant has been awarded the title "TOP RESTAURANT IN BUDAPEST" based on the opinions of our guests on the website of the DiningCity.hu Restaurant Guide. Until 7th October, the Sky Garden Rooftop Terrace is open from 12:00 serving lunch and from 15:00 serving coctails and the entire menu. Should the weather conditions be not suitable for serving on the top floor we reserve the right to return to the Great Hall Restaurant. In this case kitchen is closing at 22:00 and the restaurant is closing at 23:00.   From 8th October, the Sky Garden Rooftop Terrace will be closed until late spring 2025.
