The Gundel name became equal with quality, elegance and one of a kind gastronomy, during it’s 127 year history. The mission of the world-famous Restaurant has not changed since the opening: to create something new and startling, the trends they created still play a major role in defining the traditional Hungarian gastronomy. This is how history meets innovation, spiced up with a little creative twist, presented in an elegant setting. Premium quality is a guarantee with us, and we create the taste and style of the event according to the needs of you/your customers. The repository of our catering services is almost inexhaustible: be it a creative coffee break, a served menu, a buffet selection or a reception, our common goal is one thing: we want our guests to have an unforgettable time when visiting us. Our special event catering service can be ordered for in-house and, if required, out-of-house events: they require the magnificent interiors and function rooms of our spacious building to organize their event in Budapest, and you can choose an external location anywhere in the country, with the Catering service.  The Gundel Palace has 9 air-conditioned, sunny event room for our guests from the smaller meeting room to the 220-person ballroom. If the number of guests are more than 220, then in that case we also help you find the right location, with extensive experience of catering for conferences of hundreds of people in exciting off-site venues.

From discreet meetings to grand gala events, the Gundel's private rooms offer a wide range of event possibilities. To commemorate the fact that the first floor of the building was once the home of the Gundel family, the private rooms evoke the atmosphere of the founder's former home. Today, in addition to the restaurant and the elegant Queen Elizabeth Ballroom, the building has seven smaller private rooms that evoke the atmosphere of the turn of the century. From early spring to late autumn, guests can enjoy our cuisine in our large, shady garden. 

Accessibility

Gundel Palace is located at the gateway to the City Park, next to Heroes' Square. It is easily accessible by public transport and car.
