About us

Hunguest Sóstó, constructed in Nyíregyháza - Sóstógyógyfürdő on 9,000 square meters and containing 123 rooms is offering the most complex services in the seat of Szabolcs – Szatmár - Bereg county. Nyíregyháza’s newest hotel is situated 6 kms from the city centre, in the heart of Nyíregyháza- Sóstógyógyfürdő, surrounded by a beautiful oak forest. The hotel – which is in a direct connection with the AQUARIUS Spa and Wellness Centre and Park Spa– is located in the recreational holiday resort of the town, which is very popular with tourists.

Accommodation

The hotel consists of 123 rooms, including 3 suites, 3 apartments and 8 junior apartments. Two of the rooms are wheelchair-accessible, and 3 are suitable for staying with pets. Each of the rooms has a large balcony, and has air-conditioning, as well. On each floor there are rooms that can be interconnected, allowing families to be closer together.

The Sóstó ZOO, which has been voted Europe’s best zoo and is a home to 5000 animals, is eight minutes’ walk from the hotel, while the only open-air museum in East Hungary, the Sóstó Museum Village is merely a few steps away. Our hotel is the ideal choice for business travellers as well, since our conference hall can be sectioned off into four separate rooms to offer comfortable and elegant locations for business meetings, discussions and trainings.

Hotel Sóstó is the only hotel in Nyíregyháza-Sóstógyógyfürdő where guest can use the AQUARIUS Spa and Wellness Centre and Park Spa all year round, without additional charges. Our guests can walk over to the indoor AQUARIUS Spa and Wellness Centre and the outdoor Park Spa through a communicating corridor. The AQUARIUS Spa and Wellness Centre, open year-round, and the Park Spa, open in the summer, offer 22 pools in total with a variety of services and experiences on a ground of almost 25 acres.

Accessibility

The hotel is located around 2,5 hours far away from Budapest approaching by car. Reaching the hotel by railway is also possible straight from Budapest (Ferihegy station). However, the route is a bit longer: it takes around 3 hours.
