About us

Natural walls, willow arbours and giant barrels evoke the romance of the old days. Rustic ambience, minimalist stone concept or elegant vintage atmosphere. Budapest's newest event venue, located on the site of the iconic Borkatakomba restaurant. The garden in Budafok is "enclosed" in a cellar, and thanks to its special atmosphere it is the perfect choice for private and corporate events for up to 120-140 people. Unique, special garden design in the spacious wine cellar with hanging chairs, willow trees, neon LED lights, plant walls and a touch of industrial flair. The event space is 650 square meters, with basic furniture to match the atmosphere, seating for 120 people and a 15 sqm built-in stage. A designer drinks bar, dance floor, photo corner and lounge with giant barrels also adorn the space. The main entrance to the listed building is through a romantic small garden with a grove of ancient trees. From the spacious lobby, the Cellar Garden's iconic barrel-lined terrace opens out onto a huge willow grove overlooking an archway. This is the garden path that leads into the central event space. A welcome champagne wall, lounge children's area and photo corner have been created in the large barrels. Catering is also provided in 6 barrels for up to 30 people in total. The central event room, the BIG GARDEN, can accommodate up to 120-130 people, depending on the equipment. Characteristic wooden beams and a huge limestone vault give the room a rustic atmosphere. An artificial grass area at the end of the room, unique ombre chandeliers and a wall of plants add to the romantic garden atmosphere. The space features a 15 square metre well-lit stage. The most unique jewel among the Cellar Garden spaces is the MINI GARDEN, a suspended cistern with a small garden, accessible from the barrel-vault and the central hall through 2 entrances. Here you will find a designer bar and a small event space with a capacity of 36-44 people. Our function rooms are perfectly suited for small and large groups, making the Cellar Garden an ideal venue for corporate dinners, team building, workshops and training sessions.

Accessibility

Cellar Garden is located at 64 Nagytétényi út in Budafok. It can be easily reached from the centre of Budapest by train (Háros), public transport (buses 33, 114, 213, 214 and 973, Vágóhíd utca) and main road 6 in 30 minutes.

In 2024, the operator of the CELLAR Garden venue will be Pearl Event & Wedding Kft. As a cornerstone of our operation, we have stipulated that we do not wish to operate a restaurant. We know that it would be business practical to do so, but we want to provide the best, the most beautiful, the most thoughtful attention and care at all our events so that our clients are left with nothing but celebration and attention to their guests. Led by our head chef, we provide the most delicious bites, whether it's finger food, gala dinners, traditional or spectacular buffet meals. We offer a quality gastronomic experience with a Hungarian base and a fusion of international flavours.
