About us

At the Prónay Castle in Alsópetény, our guests receive personal attention. The breathtaking natural surroundings, the tasteful and stylish interiors, the excellent gastronomy bring to life this secluded corner of West Nógrád in the most beautiful way. We are proud that our work has been recognised with numerous awards in recent years, testimony to our excellent team and their tireless efforts to create unforgettable experiences. The Prónay Castle is located close to Budapest and the airport, in the main street of Alsópetény, opposite the church dome. The fate of the Alsópetény manor house among the noble mansions of Nógrád was not one of destruction, but of renewal. The completely renovated monumental complex and the modern hotel wing welcome guests all year round, offering a wonderful setting for weddings, intimate family and friends events, training courses, conferences, professional and cultural events.

Accommodation

The 6 suites and 25 modern hotel rooms of the Prónay Palace represent classic elegance and refinement. The suites have been meticulously renovated with antique furniture, sumptuous textiles and carpets, and the walls are decorated with works by 19th and 20th century Hungarian painters. Our modern hotel rooms are characterised by a sense of simplicity, with soothing colours and high-quality mattresses for total relaxation. The hotel rooms are elegantly furnished and colourfully decorated with a classic elegance. Our 25 rooms include rooms with extra beds and connecting rooms, family apartments and rooms for disabled guests. In addition to the hotel rooms of the castle, we also offer our vintage-style country guest houses for those who love real rural tourism. The guesthouses are a 5-10 minute walk from the castle. The houses have fully equipped kitchens and en-suite rooms.

Balance Spa: With our separate Spa building, we have created a place where our guests can experience the ultimate relaxation experience. In addition to our wellness services (5×10 m counter-current swimming pool; jacuzzi; fiin infra and bio sauna; steam room; salt chamber), we offer a variety of massage treatments, sound therapy, state-of-the-art body treatment machines and jade massage beds for those who want to find their body and soul balance again.

Exclusive catering supplier on the venue
Our chef István Oláh gave the main role to the flavours of Nógrád county in the castle.Confit duck breast with zucchini, bulgur tabbouleh... Coconut milk, Thai basil Tom Kha Gai, with venison, lemongrass... A small taste of the compositions that our chef István Oláh dreamed up for the guests of the Prónay castle. István is a master of fusing the traditional flavours of Nógrád with the cuisines of other nations.
